A New Youth Parliament for Wales

On 19 October 2016, following a unanimous vote of support from Assembly Members, the Assembly Commission agreed to explore the feasibility of establishing a Welsh Youth Parliament, and the Llywydd, Elin Jones AM, announced her intention to establish a Welsh Youth Parliament.

After working with our External Steering Group Members, we are very excited to announce that the consultation for the youth parliament is LIVE until 30 June 2017!

How can you get involved and complete the consultation?

  1. Visit our dedicated youth parliament website where you can find all of the information about what we have been doing and complete the consultation. youthparliament.wales
  2. Invite the Assembly Commission’s Education and Youth Engagement Team to attend your school/youth organisation within Wales to deliver a 60 minute workshop on the consultation. Email yourassembly@assembly.wales to find out more information.
  3. Attend one of our dedicated Youth Parliament Consultation events. Spaces are limited so call 0300 200 6565 to book your space.
