Youth Work Week 2016 – Your Assembly Ambassador Scheme

What is the Your Assembly Ambassador Scheme?

The Your Assembly Ambassador Scheme is an interesting and fun-filled training session that seeks to educate young people about the work of the Assembly, to empower and enable them to go into their local communities to deliver workshops on the Assembly to other young people.

The training includes:

  • ‘What is the National Assembly for Wales?’ workshop

  • Social Media and website information
  • Copies of all the resources and;
  • Assembly staff support

Already, Girl Guiding Cymru, Powys Youth Forum, Caerphilly Youth Forum, Carmarthenshire Youth Council, Llais Ifanc and Pembrokeshire Gennex have completed the training session and have been busy delivering workshops to young people in their local communities.

Christian Webb who is the Chair of Llais Ifanc, Youth Cymru’s Youth Advisory Panel, said that the young people he delivered his session to “really enjoyed the session and thought that the Assembly resources were well designed and interesting”.
